Dave and Sugar was a country music trio composed of lead singer Dave Rowland and supporting vocalists Jackie Frantz and Vicki Hackeman. The group was formed in 1975 and released their debut album in 1976. They achieved success in the late 1970s and early 1980s with several hits on the country charts, including "The Door is Always Open," "Tear Time," and "Golden Tears."
Dave and Sugar disbanded in the mid-1980s, but they left a lasting impact on the country music scene. They were known for their harmonious vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Dave Rowland continued to perform as a solo artist after the group's breakup. Unfortunately, Dave Rowland passed away in 2018, but their music continues to be appreciated by country music fans.
